Course Overview – NPORS N010
The NPORS N010 Telescopic Handler course provides operators with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate telescopic handlers in a wide range of working environments. The course focuses on hazard awareness, machine stability, load assessment, correct use of load charts and safe lifting and travelling techniques.
Delivered on the client’s site, the course includes both theoretical instruction and practical assessment, ensuring operators can demonstrate safe machine operation, effective load handling and compliance with manufacturer guidance, ACOP L117, LOLER, PUWER and current UK health and safety legislation.

ACOP L117 and HSE guidance including GS6 (overhead services)

Identifying major machine components and controls
Understanding rated capacity plates, load charts and load centres

Steering modes including front-wheel, four-wheel and crab steer
Fork arms, attachments and de-rating considerations
Safe Operation
Pre-use inspections and defect reporting
