Our 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work course from R and J Training Services provides essential, practical first aid training for workplaces across the UK. This course equips learners with the skills and confidence needed to respond effectively to medical emergencies, including CPR, AED use, bleeding control, burns, choking, and unresponsive casualties. Delivered by experienced instructors, the training focuses on real-life workplace scenarios, clear decision-making, and hands-on practice, ensuring participants are fully prepared to act quickly and safely in an emergency.
Course Syllabus
This Emergency First Aid at Work course comprehensively covers the following key areas:

Responsibilities and reporting – understanding the role of a first aider and legal considerations
Assessment of the situation – ensuring scene safety and prioritising actions
Dealing with an unresponsive casualty – immediate steps and ongoing care
Basic hygiene in First Aid – infection prevention and personal safety

Resuscitation and AED awareness – CPR techniques and use of an AED
Anatomy – basic understanding to support effective first aid
Minor injuries – cuts, grazes, and common workplace incidents
Bleeding control – managing bleeding safely and effectively

Certification

Upon successful completion of the Emergency First Aid at Work course, learners will receive a regulated Emergency First Aid at Work certificate from R and J Training Services, confirming they have completed the required training and are qualified to act as an emergency first aider in the workplace.
Course Requirements

This course requires a minimum of 4 learners and a maximum of 12 learners per session to ensure effective, hands-on training. All participants must be at least 14 years old to attend the course.
